Today, I am hosting Carly Anne West for the YA Scavenger Hunt!

Carly Anne West is the author of THE MURMURINGS (Simon Pulse, 2013) and THE BARGAINING (Simon Pulse, 2015). She holds an MFA in English & Writing from Mills College and lives in Seattle, Washington with her husband and two sons. Find her on Facebook at facebook.com/carlyannewest and on Twitter @CarlyAnneWest1.

Find out more information by checking out Carly’s website or find more about THE BARGAINING here!

thebargainingThe fact that neither of her parents wants to deal with her is nothing new to Penny. She’s used to being discussed like a problem, a problem her mother has finally passed on to her father. What she hasn’t gotten used to is her stepmother…especially when she finds out that she’ll have to spend the summer with April in the remote woods of Washington to restore a broken-down old house. Set deep in a dense forest, the old Carver House is filled with abandoned antique furniture, rich architectural details, and its own chilling past. The only respite Penny can find away from April’s renovations is in Miller, the young guy who runs the local general store. But Miller has his own connection to the Carver House, and it’s one that goes beyond the mysterious tapping Penny hears at her window, the handprints she finds smudging the glass panes, and the visions of children who beckon Penny to follow them into the dark woods. Miller’s past just might threaten to become the terror of Penny’s future…

Sounds amazing, right?!

Here’s Carly’s post! Enjoy!!

Exclusive Content

Hey there, #YASH Hunters! So, I posted this on release day for THE BARGAINING, but now I have links. Links, people! The songs actually correspond to the novel’s arc. Pretty clever, right? So please, enjoy my playlist for THE BARGAINING. And best of luck on your #YASH! Hugs ~ Carly

Go to Sleep – Radiohead (Thom Yorke! Thom Yorke! Thom Yorke!)
Keeping you Alive – The Gossip (Fun with Puppets. A little jazzy for The Gossip, but I love it.)
Night Light – Sleater-Kinney (I mean, come on. It’s off The Woods album.)
Crystalised – The xx (If you play poker with The xx, you’ll for sure lose.)
Cora May – 20 Minute Loop (I think I was at this show!)
Came Back Haunted – Nine Inch Nails (A little on the nose, I know, but hey, I’m a product of the ‘90s. Of course NIN will appear on this list. Take that seizure warning seriously, folks. It’s not joke.)
Last Living Souls – Gorillaz (Whoever animated these guys (and girl – hey Noodles!) is making a fortune right now.)
Youth Without Youth – Metric (I feel like I chose lots of songs with videos featuring lead vocalists on revolving platforms.)
Go – Meg Myers (No, you go!)
Don’t Move – Phantogram (and an eerie video to boot.)

And don’t forget to enter the contest for a chance to win a ton of signed books and more! To enter, you need to know that my favorite number is 3. Add up all the favorite numbers of the authors on the blue team and you’ll have all the secret code to enter for the grand prize!
